Beyond the Waiting Room (2019)

This short documentary highlights the emotional and psychological burdens that come with the veterinary profession. It follows three veterinarians from New York State, as they guide us through the ins and outs, challenges and triumphs of what it means to be a veterinarian.

The production for this project started Alisha’s freshman year of college in 2017 in a Journalism Research class. The bulk of the filming then took place during her junior year as part of an Advanced Cinema Production Nonfiction class in 2019. Alisha hopes to someday revisit this project and continue filming and refining it.
